QA @ 15

With the posting online of the Quiltart Quinceanero exhibit by Quiltart listmom, Judy Smith, I am able to share with you the little quilt that I made a few months ago for the challenge. Be sure to check out the show. There are eighty pieces of eye candy for you to drool over.

Click on each of the photos there to read the details about the quilt. Here is mine, with a click to enlarge, you can see more detail.

Enjoy!

RR comes home!

This week my RR Bloggers quiltlet returned home after over a year making the rounds of the U.S. and England. I am more than thrilled with the way it turned out. I love the colors and all the batik fabrics. All the ladies in the group did a fantastic job. It was a wonderful experience. Click on the photo to enlarge and see the detail.

There were 14 rounds, each with different instructions to follow of size or technique. You can read about my starting block in my blog post from before the Round Robin started. One of the rules was not to share any of the progress so that everyone will be surprised. Here is a list of what was added by whom and a link to their blog:

*The pieced block next to mine with the little friendship star was added by Margaret of Quick Queen of Quilting Quincy Blog.
*The orange and yellow swirly batik on top of them was added by Nancy of Blogging near Philadelphia.
*The maroon colored dotted square piece of batik next to all that  was added by Toni, The Quilting Pirate.
*The square in a square/pineapple block with the piece of batik with the screen image was added by Kate of Kate's Quilting.
*The red piece with the yellow and green flowers along with the green and yellow pieced squares were added down on the bottom by Sue of KQ Sue.
*The three Ohio stars with the little batik piece next to it at the top were added by Karen of Passionate Quilter.
*The appliqued flower pot with its contents were added by Dawn of Quilts and Pieces.
*The tulip outline embroidery was added by Becky of Quilts and Such.
*The million little French knots filling in the tulip were added by Sharon of Quiltgranny's Shoe.
*The batting, batik backing and basting were added by Suzette of Swooze's Quilts and Tall Tales.
*The machine quilting was done by Julie of Floribunda Quilts.
*The beading on the flower pot and on its flower were done by Jan of msjanquilts.
*The sleeve and binding with the tiny six-pointed stars were added by Amy of The Calico Cat.
