Last week's TAST was the Arrowhead stitch and this week's is the Buttonhole Eyelet Flower. I had lots of fun combining them. But, although the Bullion Knot stitch is one of my favorite stitches (along with the French Knot) and I've made hundreds of them in the past, I just couldn't wrap (pun intended) my head around it this time. So, I found Mary Corbet's video to refresh my memory. (Please excuse the pencil marks I forgot to erase.)
As usual, click to enlarge
Enjoy!

That is gorgeous Debbie, a perfect rainbow flower!!!
ReplyDeleteYour bullions knots look great as you used them. I did learn how to make them ages ago, but rarely have an occasion to make use of them. I scrolled down and saw the sampler which is looking amazing. Thanks for sharing all these stitches.
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful! I love your sampler too. Thanks for the links to Mary Corbet's videos.
ReplyDeleteSo vibrant and wonderful, Debbie. I bet you are learning tons of new stitches. I'd like to try that for a year.
ReplyDeleteJoyeux Noël.

A great combination of stitches. I am glad you took a week 'off' for the Arrowhead stitch and made this stitch combination. The hard and the soft shapes go so well togheter.
ReplyDeleteLove your combination of stitches. Colours are wonderful!

ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely design!
